If you’re after a high-performance gaming and productivity PC that looks more beautiful than most, the CyberPowerPC GXiVR8620A4 should be on your shortlist – provided you have lots of space and lots of cash to spend. With a Core i9-14900KF CPU (liquid-cooled), GeForce RTX 4080 Super GPU, 64GB RAM, and 4TB PCIe SSD, it delivers top-notch performance while remaining shockingly silent and cool, thanks to generous cooling fans throughout the case.
The system’s Prism 321V case is also of higher quality than you’ll find on most prebuilt, including some of the best gaming PCs, with lots of room for additional components. Just keep in mind, with lots of room for upgrades, you’re getting quiet performance but there’s great commitment to desk or floor space. The case is around 24 inches tall and nearly 21 inches front to back.
The CyberPowerPC Gamer Xtreme is worthy of consideration for anyone willing to drop around $2,500 on a pre-built gaming PC. Mainstream gaming rigs from HP or Lenovo with similar hardware will set you back almost twice as much, and some may not perform powerfully to match the money you’re spending.

Design of the CyberPowerPC GXiVR8620A4
CyberPowerPC builds its Gamer Xtreme gaming desktops from as many of its components as possible, giving this gaming machine an aftermarket vibe that can’t be replicated elsewhere, especially among mainstream towers, some of which use proprietary parts. The build starts with CyberPowerPC’s Lian LI Prism 321V ATX mid-tower gaming case with a tempered glass panel window in white color, decked out with RGB fans.
Three 120mm fans behind the tempered glass front panel and three more on the grated top panel provide ample cooling and an extra one at the back ensures maximum air circulation. All fans are adorned with RGB lighting which is user-adjustable via a pre-installed app. The top has a removable and washable dust filter for simple maintenance, a simple design detail that many desktops neglect.
The tempered glass side and front glass show off the Gamer Xtreme’s interior. The RGB components emit a charming glow, namely the CPU water block and the RAM sticks. There are no dedicated interior lighting strips, which is OK since it keeps the interior darker and allows the RGB components to shine out.
Obviously, a big desktop like this Gamer Xtreme offers lots of ports. The selection starts from the top with one USB-C, two USB 3.1, and a 3.5mm headphone/microphone jack. The power and reset buttons are also here. Around the back, there are more ports including two USB 2.0, and five USB 3.1, all on the motherboard; and, one HDMI and two DisplayPorts on the RTX 4080 graphics card. For connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth, as well as an Ethernet port for wired connections.
Gaming & Graphics Performance
We’re reviewing the Gamer Xtreme VR GXiVR8620A4 with an Intel Core i9-14900KF CPU, GeForce RTX 4080 Super GPU, 64GB RAM, and 4TB PCIe SSD storage. This is a top-tier configuration and is about as high-end as gaming desktops get in early 2024.
As always, our go-to game for high-end gaming PCs is Cyberpunk 2077; which yields between 115 and 120 fps at 1440p with Ray Tracing Ultra preset and DLSS enabled, and nearly doubles when DLSS Super Resolution is enabled (auto preset). The action is buttery smooth even in intense combat with lots of pep. This game shows off what the RTX 4080 Super can do.
The figures are near-identical in older titles as well, such as Metro: Exodus which runs at an average of 85fps without ray tracing. With the RTX 4080 Super GPU, Nvidia finally addresses the biggest issue with the base RTX 4080 model from 2022, which was the fact that it was too expensive for what it was.
Considering the slight bump on CUDA cores and fairly faster clock speed, there isn’t any reason to consider purchasing a machine with the older model over the Super variant in 2024. As such, even a piddly overclock on the CyberpowerPC Gamer’s RTX 4080 Super does improve performance, over peers with the base RTX 4080 card.
The RTX 4080 Super (16GB) is well-paired with the Core i9-14900KF, though this setup is beyond overkill for anything but 4K. Shadow of the Tomb Raider in 4K with DLSS2 quality was a clear winner for the RTX 4080 Super, averaging 194 fps; against the Alienware Aurora R15’s 114fps in the same settings.
Productivity Performance
For productivity, the Gamer Xtreme VR GXiVR8620A4 in this review has a Core i9-14900KF, 64GB of RAM, and a 4TB PCI Express 4.0 SSD. Even the most demanding tasks shouldn’t be a problem on this desktop; it’s a multitasker’s dream with so much memory.
When you’re not gaming on your PC, the CyberPowerPC GXiVR8620A4 should be plenty competent as a workhorse thanks to its latest, high-end hardware. The Core i9-14900KF – which is the same as the plain 14900K, only that it doesn’t have integrated graphics – is a flagship Raptor Lake Refresh processor with the best overclocking potential so far. As such, you’re getting lots of productivity power, which is replicated in gaming as well.
CyberPowerPC GXiVR8620A4 Review: Verdict
The only thing CyberPowerPC might do better than sell PC parts is to use them to build excellent gaming desktops. The Gamer Xtreme GXiVR8620A4 demonstrates the company’s resilience and expertise in both areas by being a well-put-together piece of equipment and performing at the highest levels.
Our review unit is the Core i9-14900KF and GeForce RTX 4080 Super configuration. It proved to be fast and often a touch faster than similarly equipped rivals, including the Alienware Aurora R15 and the MSI Aegis ZS. It’s competitively priced and offers a more beautiful design than most of the competition.
CyberpowerPC also offers the Gamer Xtreme in lower-priced configurations, which still have the same high standard of build quality as the configuration we’ve reviewed. But as of this writing, the Core i9-14900KF/RTX 4080 Super is one of the best configurations of the machine that can be had at a reasonable price.
Overall, we find the CyberPowerPC GXiVR8620A4 a distinguished high-end gaming desktop.
