Our Verdict
Most of us will like a weighty cleaver whose forward balance helps bring leverage to bear, chopping though the intended target. At 15.5 ounces the Imarku knife is OK to any hand using it. The entire knife is 11.75 inches long from the farthest reach of the blade to the end of the slightly angled tip of the handle; the blade edge is 6.75 inches, while the tang/handle are 5 inches long.
The balance point is dead center of the maker’s mark stamped on the blade. All these fits well to a good quality cleaver. The Imarku Chef Knife is relatively heavier than my other cooking knives and offers a variety of solutions in ones’ kitchen ranging from cutting, mincing, slicing, and dicing etc.
Given that this is a nicely crafted knife, with a nice weight to it, and good balance then you need to consider it when sourcing for a cleaver for your kitchen. It is among the best kitchen knives to reccomend for a modern kitchen. Overall, the 7-inch Imarku knife is an ideal option that offers good value-for-the-buck, making it a safe buy for your kitchen.
