The Sceptre E275W-19203R, along with the rest of the Sceptre Business Pro Series, is all about delivering a quality experience without breaking the bank. For just under $200, this E275W-19203R offers a decent package. The 27-inch 1080p screen has a 75Hz refresh rate which should satisfy any home-office user. Meanwhile, users more interested in a monitor for video or photo editing will be satisfied with the vivid IPS panel that hits 99% of the sRGB color gamut.
To deliver such a fantastic monitor at its reasonable price, some tradeoffs had to be made somewhere – that has to be the built-in speakers with limited audio clarity and they don’t get very loud. For an FHD monitor in 2022, not supporting a high dynamic range (HDR) is a bit disappointing, but not surprising in such an affordable display. Anyone willing to overlook those nitty flaws may get a lot of mileage out of the Sceptre E275W-19203R.

Sceptre E275W-19203R: Design
The monitor itself is thin and portable by design thanks to its three-sided ultrathin bezel design. Two HDMI 1.4 ports, a VGA port, audio line-out, power connector, and security lock sit underneath the rear. While USB connectivity and a DisplayPort would’ve gone a long way in terms of versatility, we still appreciate the available ports.
Setting up the Sceptre E275W-19203R is pretty straightforward, there are only three pieces: The screen, the stand, and the base. With a compact design, this monitor will occupy very little space on your desk, and with a thin chassis, you can easily mount it to a wall or stand via the available VESA holes. The E275W-19203R monitor weighs 8.8 pounds, making it quite portable and it won’t need a reinforced desk.
Build quality on the Sceptre is great despite being made from plastic, and it feels quite sturdy for the price. It still uses OSD buttons, we can’t complain at this price point, though. Each of the keys is labeled with pressed markings at the front, but they’re still going to be difficult to locate in the dark since they are blacked out and are located at the back.
Sceptre E275W-19203R: Performance
While Sceptre bills the E275W-19203R as a productivity monitor, created for the home office, it still got lots to offer to casual PC gamers. Besides the 75Hz refresh rate, the 5ms suffices for most games provided you don’t expect neck-breaking response. Playing shooters like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare or Doom Eternal looks vibrant with colors.
A higher refresh rate – maybe 144Hz and above, can potentially provide a slight competitive advantage but you’ll have to spend more. There are some pre-set color settings for various gaming genres from first-person-shooters to RTS and even watching movies.

Meanwhile, editing photos and videos is also a marvel on the Sceptre E275W-19203R, thanks to the 99 percent sRGB color coverage. Regardless of how you position this monitor, the monitor features an anti-glare (hard-coating 3H), so you don’t have to worry about it getting scratched easily. And, whether gaming, editing, or for general use, the 27-inch screen looks beautiful. Multi-taskers can split the screen into various layouts for maximum efficiency.
The Sceptre E275W accomplishes a lot through. Its approachable price. Individuals looking for a quality 27-inch FHD monitor that’ll fit into any office space are in for a treat. Casual gaming and media editing performance are a little more than adequate. Just don’t expect more than that. Sub-par speakers, lack of HDR, and lack of USB connections make this a no-frill package, that will simply work as expected.
Sceptre E275W-19203R Review | Verdict
Sceptre has a mission to make its monitor line world-class in every category, and the Sceptre E275W-19203R spares nothing in search of that effort. It offers not just excellent image quality, but also wide sRGB gamut coverage and a design that’s as attractive as it is functional.
Surprisingly, it doesn’t bleed from the perennial issue of budget monitors sacrificing image quality at the altar of cost savings. It doesn’t have many compromises, we just wish it had at least a USB port.
If you can spare a little more money for an even more stylish design, a bigger screen, and gorgeous visuals, the Samsung UR59C is one such multi-purpose we’d recommend. It gets a higher resolution, a stylish design, and vibrant color all-around at a reasonable price. However., if you’re on a fixed tight budget the Sceptre E275W-19203R is great overall value.
Should you buy the Sceptre E275W-19203R?
For all its worth, the Sceptre E275W-19203R is an affordable do-it-all monitor that offers a big screen, and if you’re buying it for the home-office PC, it will outshine your expectations. As always, Sceptre has once again outdone themselves to deliver a fine monitor at a price that’s hard to beat out there.
