Dell’s latest products releases are brand new versions of its flagship XPS 15 and XPS 17 laptops, featuring the new 45W Intel 11th-generation chips for better performance and a new 3.5K OLED display on the 15.5-inch model. The new laptop range carries the same great design as last year’s XPS line, but with latest and beefier specs.
Unlike before, the new XPS 15 will be configured with an 11th-Generation Intel Core i5-11400H, Core i7-11800H, with an option for Core i9-11900H as well. However, the biggest change comes in a new 3.5K OLED panel for the XPS 15, featuring a rich 3456 x 2160 display resolution in a 16:10 aspect ratio. It also supports Dolby Vision and inky blacks.
Dell XPS 15/17 Specs
For graphics, you can pick an XPS 15 configured with either integrated UHD graphics, or dedicated graphics – either Nvidia’s RTX 3050 or 3050 Ti. The dedicated graphics card brings along excellent video editing capabilities, and some gaming muscle depending on the screen resolution.
On the other hand, the XPS 17 is Dell’s top flagship and packs one of the most powerful processors you’d ever find in a laptop, the Intel Core i9-11980HK, a 45W processor that will be able to run workstation related tasks. It come in two screen options – 1080p or 4K LCD panel, up to 64GB RAM, and a choice of either RTX 3050 or RTX 3060 graphics card from NVIDIA. The RTX 3060 is a big leap in graphics over the 3050.
Dell calls the XPS 17 as the smallest 17-inch laptop on the market, thanks to its InfinityEdge 4-sided display that results in super thin bezels on all four edges.
Both the XPS 15 and 17 have an excellent keyboard, large trackpad, robust speakers, and Windows Hello support.
